This guitar was purchased new in 1971 and has spent the last 55 years living inside its original hardshell case. It is in stunning, like-new condition and represents the finest example of a "Competition" era offset available on the market today.
The story of this guitar: It was purchased at Chesbro Music in Idaho Falls, Idaho in late November or early December 1971. It was a Christmas present to an 11 year old. He took lessons for close to a year and then stopped playing and put it away in its case, under his bed, where it lived until today.

The Finish: The Candy Apple Red finish is breathtakingly vibrant, retaining its factory gloss with virtually zero fade. The competition stripes are crisp and have aged to a perfect, uniform cream.
The Neck: The maple neck feels as fresh as the day it left the Fullerton factory. The rosewood fingerboard is dark and hydrated, and the frets show zero detectable wear.
Provenance: This is a one-owner instrument. It has been kept in a climate-controlled environment within its original case since the early 70s, preserving the finish and electronics perfectly.
